Formative Assessment 1: ADjectives
Students created their own sentences using qualitative and quantitative adjectives.
By the end of the lesson, grade 5 students will complete a worksheet on adjectives, using their previous knowledge of subject/predicate, the classroom presentation/discussion, and their interactive worksheet.




Formative Assessment 2: Supporting Details
This lesson reinforced students previous knowledge of supporting details when creating and writing a hamburger paragraph.
By the end of the lesson, grade 5 students will complete a worksheet individually on supporting details, using their prior knowledge of topic sentences and hamburger paragraph writing, the classroom presentation/discussion, and their interactive workbook.

Formative Assessment 3: Skittle Probability
This lesson is intended to reinforce and bring the textbook examples to life. Students will be using skittles as a manipulative to explore probability.

By the end of the lesson, grade 5 students will complete a probability worksheet individually, using their prior knowledge of matching a decimal or percentage to a fraction, probability knowledge, the skittles provided, the classroom demonstration/discussion, and their interactive math workbook.

Formative AssessmenT 4: Measuring Circles
This lesson is intended to introduce circle geometry, focusing on circumference, diameter, radius, and central angle. Students will be measuring circular household items.
​
By the end of the lesson, grade 5 students will complete a circle geometry worksheet individually, using their team members, prior knowledge of measurement, measuring various household items, the classroom demonstration/discussion, and their interactive math workbook.
